Paddling in Dover Guysborough County, I came across this red flag. I wasn't sure of it's significance until I paddled up to it and realized there is a huge rock just below the surface. Not a problem for me but I could just imagine a boater sailing along and snagging it quite easily. Because it is tucked in amongst a bunch of small islands it would not need to be marked by a gov't vessel. Someone had the sense to take it upon themelves to mark it for others though. Neat.
