 You had to be a bit careful that you didn't get a kayak torpedo into the side of you however I do believe there may have been one such event today. Just have to beware and constantly be looking behind you because there is likely to be more than a wave back there....up there....under there......

 Surfing waves is one thing .....trying to catch a picture while surfing is quite another.......at leat when you have the camera in one of your hands! Simply a blast.....

 Returning to try and get another one here in Chance Cove today.

"Rinse Cycle"

 Whether I wanted that saline flush or not here it comes. Such were allot of the waves at Chance Cove in Newfoundland on this 25 degree Celsius day. Ya just had to be there!

 This is my bow toggle as I was vertically inclined I guess you would say, however I was not catapulted backwards.

"Surf Traffic"

 When waves are to be had ya just have to share as much as you can. A bit of traffic in Chance Cove today. River kayaks, sea kayaks, surfers and boogie boarders all vying for that wave to run.

 Alex cleaning of his deck in the soup today at Chance Cove. The waves were perfect for a bit of "Soul Surfing"...

"The Teeth!!"

 For a little fishy this Sculpun or whatever skeleton it is has very good size teeth. Better on a stick than a leg. Dave found it on one of our stops.

"Salvage"

 
The little Island in this picture use to have 17 houses on it during the fishing days of NL. Situated in Bonavista Bay these little communities are now still fishing but in a much scaled down version. This community now fishes lobster and crab. Very lucrative for those with a license but for those fisherman without just a touch of animosity. We drove here after our retreat weekend. My roof rack broke in this area and luckily not on the transcanada. With the help of an older local resident I was able to make repairs. I needed an allen wrench so the oldtimer goes down to his shed on the water a locates a wrench for me to finish the job. It took me about 45-50 minutes by the time I unloaded everything and reloaded again. This is the kindness you find in all the outports of NL. We had great conversation.

"Pond Side"

This is the other side of Chance Cove where you can fish for sea trout. I cursed not bringing my pole. At anyrate there is a spider web in this picture and you may see it if you click on the image.

"Look-Out"

This is a neet vantage point looking out to Chance Cove. This board walk provided easy access to wood for out fires and also to a lobster trap that was in perfect shape. We didn't set it though as tempting as that was.
