"Topo Conception Harbour"

We paddled about 20km heading NE out of conception Harbour. There was a light wind which made for a little slop but manageable. As we passed Bacon's Point if we had headed due North to Collier's Point then made the turn due West we could have looked straight across to Turk's Head and Bull's Cove and saw the 100 ft'er (Iceberg) just outside Turk's Gut. We did not make the Collier's Headland and turned back and had lunch in Gaster's Bay area.

"Paddling The Peninsula of Port de Grave"

I put the two maps here of the trip because the topo has the names of the areas on the Peninsula. It was a most awesome journey, as all are.

"St. John's Bay"

Well it sure is nice to look at pictures on a blog but sometimes you never get to see the geography of it all. I take pictures of The Cabot Tower on Signal Hill in St. John's NL, a typical landmark, of Cape Spear Lighthouse, another landmark and on this map I pointed out where the Ice Berg Image that is on my header of this blog was photographed. Just a perspective for those new to NL. Click on image to enlarge.
