"Cloud Massive"

This huge front rolling in from the north brought with it some most unusal cloud cover.As seen from Signal Hill. Oct.24th,2007.

"St. John's Harbor"

From Signal Hill on Wednesday October 24th, 2007. It was a cool evening and there was very unique cloud formations rolling in at dusk especially on the other side.

"Oh! Autumn"

When you walk in Autumn it is hard not to get lost in the sites and freshness that is loaned to the day.

"Mural"

This is the first part of the mural on the way to Cape Spear. This mode of travel was common, I am sure years ago on a Sunday fall afternoon, nowadays a frozen rendition. I might add an awesome replica in art work however.

"Wind: The Wave Ripper"

The wind is in the process here of ripping some of the crashing crest of this wave and the spray is sparkling in the sun just poking thru.

"OK"

This driftwood appears to be giving an "OK" sign to the sky in the distance, much like would happen on a human hand when the index finger comes in contact with the thumb. Just missing a few phalanges though.

"Spider Caviar"

Not for me thanks but the eggs became visible after I accidentally ruptured the cocoon of sorts that was nestled on the bar-b-que cover on the back deck. Spiders are abundant around outside of the house and the yard. I am always intrigued by their resilience in the face of harsh elements and the tensile strengths of their webs.

Refreshing and entrancing.

It is hard to believe with all the beauty that abounds in Autumn that it is actually a time of death and decay just prepatory for seasons in the offing.

A stream it seems, meanders dreams, and washes sleep from the eyes.

A swath of shade from an old growth.

A cone laiden pathway on my hike in Bowring park. The organic scents were more like flavors as it seemed you could taste what you were seeing and smelling.

Years ago when Schooners and masted sailing vessels of all kinds and sizes dotted the waterways a sailor or fishermans' life was always on the line, so to speak.

Embroiled clouds apppear to erupt in focused light upon the waters off Cape Spear.

I have a propensity to view sunsets and sunrises when vistages of sleep and slumber echo in your mind, the reward is most times intense enough to dwarf the shreads of tiredness that linger there.

Sometimes the fogbanks and the sky are inseperable in NL but the dynamics of the constantly swirling and moving fog and clouds in the sky can entertain for hours.

"Ebonized Mermaid"

This was one of my favourites when they were displayed throughout the city a year ago. She commemorated the wreck of The Elfrida on April 16th, 1869. Fair thee well to all souls lost.
