"Dragons and Such..."

We had a Dragon Boat demonstration at our Saftey DAy yesterday. The head and tail of this thing was produced by a local artist. The boat was built by Breast Cancer survivors and is truely a work of art and dedication not to mention an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and determination went into its' construction. The pride is visible on the paddlers. And let me tell you, for an 800lb boat with 20 paddlers it moves quickly and as this picture can't truely demonstrate, comes at you very, very quickly. My work brings me in contact with many people with cancer and it is wonderful to see their individual and collective achievements and I thank the ladies for allowing us the opportunity to witness such a significant part of their lives.
